Sebastian Keep and Ben Shenker race James May on Top Gear show. I saw an old Fiat 500 the other day and it was fast!
Here's a pretty darn cool video from Germany. Click here to download the full version. You will need DIVX player to watch it tho.
Dudes at Back Bone BMX sent me a message on Myspace asking for support the petition against the closing of their trails. I can't think of anything more worse than you riding spot taken away, let alone one that has your blood and sweat over it. So do them a favor, sign the petition today. Ride on!
(Click on the picture for sequence)
Ride posted this sequence of South African rider Stephen Savage doing an almost impossible 360. But impossible stuff will usually become normal tricks in a few months time to come, just like double tailwhip backflips. Stephen also rides for Sunday , so if his bike can take the shit he does you know they are good enough for you. Can't wait for the Black Wave frames to come.
I dunno what to say. Go check out Respectbikes for more amazing riding pics and non-riding pics like this. I wanna go to Taiwan!!!!
Ok, Farhan did this clicked turndown at Sunsetbowl. But Luke took the picture. Luke didn't have a camera so he used Zhen Yao's digi cam to snap it. So if Farhan didn't do the turndown. Luke wouldn't be able to snap this. But if Zhen Yao didn't bring the camera, you wouldn't be seeing this as well. If Luke wasn't at Bowl that day, he's prob playing CS at home or doing guard duty in camp.
I've been using this Ares Boo hub for a couple of months now. Tot I should prob share my experience with you guys. I've heard too many ppl crushing their driver bearing in their K** freecoaster, but since this hub uses a 10mm axle the driver bearing is much bigger. I haven't had any problems with the driver bearing or any other bearing on this hub(high quality SKF bearings inside), but since it's a 10mm axle you should prob not use pegs with it. Slack adjustment is a problem tho, this was designed for flatland and most flat guys doesn't ride with that much slack. You'll prob only get abut 1o'clock crank b4 it engages after you remove the washer, which is too little for me. So I removed the axle and machined it as shown below. I took away about 2mm which give me about a good 1/4 of a crank before the hub engages.
I've been running it for more then 5mths now and honestly had no problems at all. Still looking for the LSD version tho since I do lots of grinds on my right and tend to slam the driver quite a bit, but it's still holding up fine. Replacement parts are pretty affordable, I get them from the Theduotonecorp . Hope it helps. e-mail seanlai88@gmail.com to purchase this hub.
For some stupid reason, the town council at Bedok decided to tear down the hafpipe there. It wasn't the best place to ride but strangely I kinda enjoyed the times I had there. One less place to ride.

I remember watching him kick ass in many of the Ells Bells videos back in the day. I dad coincidentally is suffering from cancer as well, so I guess I could relate to what his family is going through.

After a long long wait, Volume will be producing their own fixed gear track bike. Get the details in their website. Do I want one? Hell yeah.
I saw this clip on Youtube, but I'm not too sure when or where the contest was held. Oh, Josh Harrington won. And he got hurt-again..
Well here's a seat post lots of ppl out there are waiting for. A lot of guys modded their pivotal post invented my Macneil (and copied by many) with wages salvaged from old skool 1" stem to eliminate the use of a seat clamp. Not that it saves weight, but it does make the bike look cleaner and simple. So Animalbikes save you guys all the trouble with this ready made. Checkout the VitalBMX video on how to use and install this shit. Let's hope to see them on sale at Tiong Hin soon.
Yes they are still around. Some sick freecoast'in skills there.

No Jimi doesn't ride BMX, but Joseph Mcintire edited this promo for Status Quo. That's the first wheelchair 180 I've seen. Badass....

Joel Moody did a great job fliming and editing this video for Empire. It's been out for a while, but it's good watch. Enjoy.

Here an introduction of the Levi's BMX team. Yeah, the more you fall on those jeans the better they look. But that doesn't include doing faceplant.
A few lucky guys get to ride the RedBull dirt course before everyone else does, and Gary Young killed it first try. More videos at Freecaster.
Checkout MacNeil's site to see some pics of the RedBull Elevation course set up. It's not completed yet but it sure looks bloody sweet. Judging by the huge success they had at the Singapore Metro Jam '07, this is gonna kick some serious ass. It's really amazing to see the contest that Jay Miron has been putting up.
The next leg of the Singapore Xtreme Circuit will be on 16th June and will be held at Ngee Ann City at the heart of Orchard Rd. Scary Bikes will be working with 20InchO this year for BMX. Scary Bikes will be doing the Park and "Best Trick" events; 20InchO will be doing the Flatland events.
Event details:
The calendar for the events is as follows:
Simple bikes have a new prototype hub that they're testing. It looks simple (no pun intended) , light and rather strong. It uses a huge axle through the middle and it bolts through the forks. No more broken spokes from grinding!!
Riot-Bike Co. will be sponsoring some (a little) prizes for the Sunset Jam this year. See you there!! More details at the Sunsetrails website
Date:June 24th 2007
Location : Sunsetrails

Lotek has a nice, casual vid of Ian Schwartz taking a day around Portland. Pretty chill vid with amazing film quality, editing and not to mention some real fun freecoaster moves. Also they recently added about 50+ very nice new pics, some show a preview of the new kicks. Rich and the team have been putting in some work on the brand and everything is looking amazing.
21st of May'07 was a sad day. Riot-Bike co's friend Wayne Thunder left us peacefully in his sleep last night. He was part of The Suns which was formally known as The Boredphucks. They revolutionize the local music scene and took Australia by storm. Keep rocking up there bro. Miss you..

Hey guys!! Zenn and Sean will be celebrating their 18th birthday the BMX flatland way - with a flatland jam!! It can't get better than this. Anyone is welcome to go BUT if you are a street rider and you are not familiar of how flatlanders ride DO NOT get in their way when they are in the middle of their links and let the others have their turns. Details as quoted from Flattica below. See you guys there!!
"Hi everyone, me and zenn are planning a jam on the 28th april which just BY CHANCE happens to be my birthday too. Anyways, it's about confirmed and we've booked the hall for the event. There be fans and lights and hopefully drinks.

PS, I'll post the contact e-mail soon so they can anticipate how many rider would turn up.
It was a blast. Guess we really have to thank Jay Miron for bring the craziest but laid back BMX comp at the moment here, but I don't think we can ever thank him enough. So many of the big names were here including Mirra, he still remember us from his last visit 7yrs ago and it's so damn cool to know. Catfish has got to be the funniest guy on a 20inch BMX bike, he even got himself a Merlion tattoo. There way too much to write about it and it's already happened a good 2 weeks ago so for more info on what actually happened visit the official Metro Jam website for more. Bart De Jong was in town for judging as welll and he has good things to say about the trip here . I was supposed to meet him abut the rain and due to the fact that he was judging I wasn't able to talk to him, but I'm sure he'll be back to collect his Riot-Bike tee sometime in the near future. FatBMX rules!
Finally! After such a long break the new line are out for sale. Printed on 190gsm 100% cotton tees, these shirts are available in black, white, olive green, charcoal and brown. 20 dead presidents will get you one of these so grab it now. Available at Tiong Hin, MIZ-29 or e-mail me at riotbmx@gmail.com
Now go out and ride!!
